Detlef Orlopp
Vita
1937 in Elbing, West Prussia. Up to the end of 1944, in Saalfeld am Ewingsee in East Prussia. First contact with the cliffs and waterfalls in Silesia’s Riesengebirge. End of the war via Breslau, Danzig, Saxony, and Thuringia to Siegen in Westfalia, and there school attendance and photography apprenticeship. From 1956 to 1959, photography studies in Saarbrücken. 1961, began teaching activity at the Krefeld School of Arts and Crafts. 1973 Professor for Photography and Film in the department of design at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld. Lives and works in Bad Breisig am Rhein.
