Francesca Martí

Vita

Francesca Martí lives and works at Majorca. Her first appearances in the Spanish art scene took place in the early 1990s with solo and group exhibitions in Palma, Barcelona and Madrid. International galleries, such as Paule de Boeck Fine Arts in Ghent (Belgium) and the Bruton Street Gallery in London, showed her works. Solo exhibitions at The Genia Schreiber University Art Gallery in Tel Aviv, the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman, the Real Academia de España in Rome and the Villa Pisani in Venice followed. In 2007 the exhibition Soul in the Spanish Pavilion of the 10th International Biennal in Cairo was awarded the 1st Prize by the jury. This year, Francesca Martí’s works can be seen at the 1st International Montijo Biennial in Portugal. Her contributions to exhibitions in recent years include presentations in the Bonn Art Museum, Germany, in the Apothiki Art Center in Paros, Greece and in the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró in Palma, Majorca. Francesca Martí has been represented since 1997 at a number of international art fairs - Arco (Madrid), Art Cologne, Art Basel Miami, Art Dubai, Lineart (Ghent), Arte Lisboa, Bologna Art Fair, MiArt (Milan) and Artissima (Turin). Her paintings, photographs and installations may be viewed worldwide in public and private collections, including the collection of Her Majesty Sofia of Greece, Es Baluard Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma, the Museum of Modern Art (New York), Collecció Testimoni, “la Caixa” (Barcelona), Banca March (Palma), Grupo Serra (Palma), Foundation Vanderkerchove (Brussels), and the BBL Collection (Belgium).
